HISTORY OF BIONAVIS
BioNavis was founded in 2006 by private investors and professionals with several decades experience in scientific instrumentation, to take over and further advance the SPR technology primarily developed at VTT - Technical Research Centre of Finland. Counting the previous development at VTT, there are more than 15 years of accumulated development history in the BioNavis SPR technology. BioNavis holds several international patents related to the SPR techniques and its applications.
BioNavis is a privatly held company with Finnish-Italian-Japanese ownership.
Our History in Brief:
1988 – VTT’s (Technical Research Centre of Finland) research on surface plasmon resonance, Dr. Janusz Sadowski (now CEO of BioNavis)
2006 – BioNavis Ltd is established and utilizes KSV Instruments Ltd. for distribution, which was later acquired by Biolin Ab
2010 – BioNavis centralizes the management of the distribution network to its headquarters in Finland (about 40 distributors worldwide)
